Beach wrestling: 200 athletes from 30 countries and the first women's team gold

From August 27 to 29, international beach wrestling competitions were held at Sea Breeze. More than 200 athletes from more than 30 countries took part.

On August 27, the U17 World Beach Wrestling Championship was held in Azerbaijan for the first time — about 150 young wrestlers took part. Azerbaijan's national team finished the championship with eight medals: two gold, three silver and three bronze.

Azerbaijan's women's team won the team standings of the world championship for the first time, and the men's team came second.

Beach wrestling is held on a round sand ring, and a bout lasts one round — so the tournament is quick to watch, right from the shore.

The medal count is given as the resort provided it.
